Is Lunar a bank?

Yes, Lunar is a bank. We got our very own banking license in August 2019. You get everything you would expect from a traditional bank: an account, a Visa card, payments, loans, Mobile Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and much more. Furthermore, you get Denmark's best banking-app, so you can safely and easily manage your finances from your phone.

When you open a business account at Lunar, you’ll be a customer with Lunar Bank A/S.  

We are - just as any other Danish banks - under the supervision of the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority. That means there are a number of guidelines we must adhere to. With us, your money is covered by a deposit guarantee, which protects the amount of deposits in bank accounts in banks with up to DKK 750,000.
