June 18, 2024 – The two Scandinavian companies, Lunar and SAS, have entered a new partnership. Today, they are launching Scandinavia's first debit card that allows you to earn EuroBonus points on daily purchases from trips to the supermarket, morning coffee, and summer experiences – without using credit.

Money 20/20 Europe, Amsterdam, 4th June 2024 - PPRO, the leading local payments platform, has announced its partnership with Nordic challenger bank Lunar and Swedish local payment method Swish. This collaboration will enhance PPRO’s instant payment capabilities in Sweden through seamless integration with Lunar’s Nordic payment infrastructure and will allow Swedish consumers to use local mobile payment method Swish for payments at more of their favourite global merchant brands.

Experienced international fintech player Tim Brooke Thom joins Nordic bank challenger Lunar as the new chairman of the Lunar Group board. Bringing with him a wealth of experience from the fintech sector, Tim has a notable background, particularly in neobanking. His most recent fintech chair role was at the highly successful British bank Monzo, where he played a pivotal role during its rapid expansion phase.

Nordic challenger bank Lunar announced a capital raise of 24.1 million EUR. In February, Lunar concluded a two-part investment round totaling 26.8 million EUR, bringing the total raised in the past four months to 50.9 million EUR.
